JACK’S Program

“Just Act with Compassion, Kindness and Service”

In Memory of Jack Dockery

A few months ago the Mission Commission introduced a new program called “Helping Homes in Hyde Park”. Soon after this program was introduced, Jack Dockery passed away. Those who knew Jack, knew that helping others was always a priority for him. With this in mind, we have renamed the Helping Homes program JACK’S Program, which stands for “Just Act with Compassion, Kindness and Service”, in memory of Jack Dockery

JACK’S Program is an initiative of the Mission Commission of the Hyde Park UMC. JACK’S Program is meant to assist homeowners with repairs or services that are needed around their home. A volunteer(s) capable of doing the job will provide all labor related services. Recipients are selected on a needs basis and the homeowners are responsible for all materials and supplies required. Recipients must personally own the home being worked on. At this time, all recipients must be members of the Hyde Park UMC.

Applications are available on the bulletin board at the church (you can still use a Helping Homes application if you have one). For more information, contact Terry Temple.
